    Hello,

With thousands of songs in our music library there is no consistent volume from track to track. We would like to set up and leave play lists without having to babysit them for volume adjustments between songs.

Is there a script that can be added to batch processing that will make every tracks volume sound the same loudness to the ear? Does the RMS value need to be set to a constant (say -10db) for every song, or is there another way?

Once again, do you know of a way to make thousands of songs sound the same loudness without having to go through every song and doing it manually?

Thank you for you help in advance,

    Olav

    Olav,

To my knowlege the answer to your question is no, there isn’t any setting in Audition that can do a mass normalization … To do it right you really need to go through a tune at a time anyway since you may have to adjust clip volumes as well …….. WILLIE

    Willie,

Thank you for your response and your knowledge. Is there a way to make all the songs have a SIMILAR loudness? Because of right now there are extreme differences in the volumes from track to track.

    If it can

    Olav,

No I don’t know of one but as I said before the only real way is a track at a time because of the volume differences … Sorry … WILLIE

Hi there, I don’t know if you found an answer to your issue, the new Audition has the match volume windows with the new ITU-BS1770-2 algorithm and the old one has the older “perceived loudness” preset for this kind of jobs.

    Try also LMB from NuGen

    https://www.nugenaudio.com/LMB_Loudness_batch_processor.php

the Leven One from Grimm Audio

    https://www.grimmaudio.com/pro_software_levelone.htm

    or the open source R128Gain

    https://r128gain.sourceforge.net/

    Cheers!
