I have Pro Tools LE/Mbox setup with my Avid Studio. I know my way around the software pretty well but that doesn’t give me a good mix. I’m trying to learn some good EQing technique for VO, interviews, etc. Are there any tutorials, articles, etc. that can teach me a little more about getting this done?

While it is not written for ProTools specifically, there is a great article entitled “Audio Techniques for Video Editors” in the first issue of Creative Cow Magazine that covers most types of audio filters, what they do, how to use them to sweeten or repair audio files in video edits, and lastly, how to remove unwanted sounds, etc., from your files.

You can sign up for a free subscription and can download the PDF of the first issue here at https://www.creativecowmagazine.net

    Ron,

Thanks for the tip. The article does have some good operating information that applies to all audio editing software and easily applies to PT.
