  • EPS file not showing correctly?

Posted by Olly Lawer on April 8, 2012 at 10:47 am

    Hi,

I’ve brought an EPS file from iStock. They are illustrations with a reflection. Unfortunately, upon import into either AE or Photoshop, the reflection now just shows as a white image. Not a good look. The file is also just one file (there are 12 images). I’ve tried importing as EPS sequence, just as a comp and pretty much any other option I could think of, but the results are the same.

How do I overcome this problem?

    Thanks

Did you try opening the eps in Illustrator? From what it sounds like (and I’m guessing), the image might need to be relinked within Illustrator and saved. Hope this helps

I’d contact iStock and see if they can help. Or, if you want to send it my way I can take a look and see if I can relink. tim@7amedia.com

    That’s very kind.

I’ve masked each picture and used the change to color effect to achieve what I want. A but messy, but job done.

    Thanks again!
