EPS File for Final Cut Pro

I’d use Photoshop (place command) into a new video sized document and make an alpha channel
You can also bring it into Motion

If the file is an AI file and contains live text (not converted to outlines) you may have font substitution occurring

1) Open EPS file in Photoshop
2) Image–Mode–RGB Color
3) Image–Adjustments–Auto Levels
4) Select–Load Selection (then press OK)
5) In Channels Tab add mask layer (of selection…(creates alpha))
6) File–Save As–TIFF (Mac Version)T.J. Imbrigiotta
