  • Environment mapping in AE?

    Quick question:

I’ve got some camera moves & animated 3D layers in AE.
Now I’m trying to map like an environment texture on my 3D world background to move in relation to my camera.
Is there any way of doing this without using any fancy plugins?

Alternatively … how can I EXPORT camera data from AE?

I’ll then render out my background movements in Maya & bring it back into AE.

    Please help…

CC Sphere comes with AE 6.5 Professional and should be good enough for this

Copy & Paste to a text file. There’s a million ways to get that data in Maya ranging from 3D conversion tools to motion trackers to MEL scripts.

CC does make an effect called CC Environment that does what you want but it would be a fancy plug-in you would have to get 😉
