ENTIRE computer FREEZES during Sony Vegas rendering (Vegas Pro 64-bit)
ANY TIME I TRY TO render ANYTHING in Sony Vegas, my ENTIRE COMPUTER FREEZES and is COMPLETELY unusable. FROZEN SO BAD that I CANNOT EVEN bring up the task manager, close open programs etc. NOTHING is responsive!!! The “time left” and “elapsed time” ONLY update roughly every 10 minutes!!! It ALSO say 38 hours remaining during the entire rendering and frozen state FOR ONLY A 5 MINUTE VIDEO. At this point all I can do is hold the power button on my computer to force the machine to shut off!!!!
How do I fix???

Check this option:
Make sure it does not exceed the number of CPU cores in your PC.

Well you haven’t told us anything about the specifications of your computer so it would be hard for anyone here to make a recommendation. My only thought without knowing anything else is that perhaps it’s overheating? Rendering is very intense and that’s when not having enough cooling or power from the PSU can cause a computer to lock up.

I posted on a Android Phone due to the load on my computer at the time, Android autocorrected “Vegas Pro 13 64-bit” to “Vegas Pro 64-bit” (it has been autocorrecting the strangest things lately)

Hmmm… I see it has an AMD CPU. You didn’t say if it’s a quad core or dual core (that laptop can come with either). AMD not the best CPU for editing video and could be a big part of the problem. Also notebooks are easy to overheat with rendering video because they are not really designed for that kind of intense workload. Knowing that you have an AMD CPU it could just be that your laptop is just too underpowered for the task. I would recommend nothing less than an Intel Core i7 for working with video. Even a Core i5 will get bogged down and forget about a Core i3 entirely. I realize that doesn’t help you but if your laptop isn’t up to the task of rendering video you need to know that.
