Enlarged heads
Hi all, i am thinking of doing a band performance music video where all the members of the band have enlarged heads. I’m imagining that this will be done by placing track markers on the heads of the guys and then filming a music video as you would, then shoot close up shots of band members heads to match the angles of the heads in each individual shot on green screen, then comping these heads onto the appropriate band member and scaling to fit, shot by shot. How would you guys go about doing this? Should i have more than one marker on each band members head? Does it matter if there is much head movement on the green screen performance? The camera will not necessarily be static all the time and there may be some steady cam shots.
I wanted the finished video to be very dark with high contrast lighting and not much fill light (possibly ‘night vison’ effect), is this going to be difficult to match on the green screen shots?
Sorry for the lengthy message, hope i’ve been clear. This will be my first music video and first project using motion tracking!!

If you’re doing this with mocha-AE (which comes with After Effects CS4), then you don’t really need the tracking markers. Those are more for point trackers, not for planar trackers.
