Hey this may be a simple question with a simple answer, but here goes. I’m making a DVD, the source files (assets) are native 16:9. How do I create the DVD so that when it is played on a 4:3 television the proper letterbox bars are shown on the top and bottom for correct display while that same dvd will automatically play without the letterbox on a 16:9 tv? I know it can be done, these DVDs often say “Enhanced for widescreen televisions”. Will Encore do this automatically if the project is set to 16:9?

We’re currently running CS3 and CS2 in two suites. Thanks!

    Just create your 16:9 project.

It’s up to the DVD player to display it correctly. The player depends on correct input from the audience for setting how 16:9 material should be displayed on their TV.
