Engraving text on wood?
Hi there,
I have a sequence to do, where I would like the title of the movie to be engraved out of piece of wood (just a simple cube with a wood texture) I was trying to work out the best way to get this affect, I tried using a boolean but it became very clunky and didnt really give the desired affect.
Does anyone have any other ideas how to create this effect?
On another note, it would be good to have some kind of “wood shaving effect” to simulate the carving, I guess this would have to be done using some kind of particle effects in cinema 4d or after effects?

Have you tried to do the engraving effect with bolean and text done with sweep nurbs and animate the growth value for sweep nurbs?
