    Hi!

I’m wondering if there’s a relatively easy way to give something made in Cinema 4d a etched/engraved money effect in After Effects? Something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z9fcM2CWWPw

So far my plan would be to run an action in photoshop for each frame of the animation, and then animate it in After Effects. But is there an easier/better way to achieve this effect on 3d animation?

    Thanks!

All you need are those wave patterns. AE has all the tools needed to create it the same way. Use track matte for a layer mask.

I’m curious about how it will look if the patterns are not moving but the image is.

Yeah that is where I’m worried it might look weird, because in one scene I need to have a ball rolling into a hole. I’m concerned about it not reading as “rolling” if the texture it just overlaid, if that makes sense?
