    Hi everyone,

I’m creating a DVD project in Encore CS3, it is a revision of a previous project so I simply reconnected the media and made the subtitling alts by hand in Encore. The subtitles were originally imported from a text file.

When I burn the disc however the old text is still in place. The timings have been changed, but not the text. Weird.

    Anyone have any ideas?

I was thinking there may be a cache or something but I can’t find it.

    Cheers

    1. Select all your subtitles
    2. Adjust the kerning
    3. Undo
    4. Build

That should fix it. Test on an RW disc so you don’t get any coasters.

Thanks Jeff, this sort of worked!

When I changed the kerning and burned a disc it didn’t work. So I went back and burned an Image, sent it to another machine, burned it there and it worked!

For some reason if you burn the disc directly from Encore (or create a DVD Folder) it doesn’t pick up the changes but if you export an Image file, it does.

    Weirdest problem ever.

    Thanks
