    I need Help!!!

    I have a project that is HDV (1440 X 1080).
I have everything set-up right that I am aware of.
This is my 1st time trying to burn a Blu-Ray.
I click on build and it reads the Blu-Ray drive, then it spits out the disk and gives me a error. “Please insert Blu-Ray Medai, close the tray, and click OK.

I put the disk back in and it does the same thing over and over again.

Any one have any clues on why this is not working?

Assuming the blu-ray burner has worked in the past:

    Close Encore
    Open Control Panel
Type the word “troubleshooting” in the search
On the left side after the search, click open view all
Select “Playing and burning CD’s, DVD’s and Blu-ray discs” and run the troubleshooter to determine if your burner is recognizing the media.
If the burner is not recognizing the media, but is otherwise working ok, then you need to check to make sure the burner is compatible with the discs you are using.

I ran into this problem trying to use a BD-R LTH (Low to High) disc in an older burner. I had to go an buy some BD-R HTL (High to Low) discs instead (TDK produces some decent ones). Documentation on what is or is not compatible with a particular burner is sometimes very weak.

Hope this helps. This is an old post, but I sure the problem still crops up from time to time.
