Making a bluray with one subtitle track in Encore CS6. When it’s burned and put in a player, it defaults to having the subtitles on. It’s possible to turn them on and off no problem, but it always seems to default to start with subtitles on. Would like to have it so it doesn’t automatically start with subtitles on.

EDIT: NEVERMIND, ANSWERED MY OWN QUESTION AFTER A FEW MINUTES, CANT FIND OUT HOW TO DELETE THIS THREAD THOUGH.
IT WAS A BYPRODUCT OF USING “SPECIFY LINK” WHEN SPECIFYING AUDIO TRACKS – HAD TO ALSO SET THE SPECIFY FOR THE SUBTITLES TO “OFF” INSTEAD OF “NO CHANGE”.

Congrats on finding the answer. I was posting from my phone, and couldn’t remember the password!

It isn’t clear to me if you got this part. Select the “disk” in flowchart, then look for “Set Subtitle.” This sets the default for the disk unless it is changed. And there you can set it to “off,” “no change,” and a specific track #.

Set this to “off,” and then the “no change” works for all the others, until the user actually turns them on.

    Hi Stan,

Ha, didn’t know that actually – I went in one by one and changed each specified link to “Subtitle – Off”. Your method would have been a lot faster! Thank you!
