  Encore hangs at 33% when opening project

  Having a reoccurring and annoying problem with Encore CS 5.1. When I open a project that I am working on or has been previously saved, Encore loads the project to 33% and then then spinning colour wheel appears and the application stops responding. I can open new projects with no assets but projects that have menus and assets will not open now. All projects I have been trying to open keep hanging. At this point I need to create a project all in one go without closing the program if I am able to successfully burn a bluray.

  My mac specifiactions are:
  10.7.4
  2×2.4 HGz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
  6 GB 1066 MHz DDR3
  ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024MB
