    Hi!

    So here’s my problem…

I’v used Premiere Pro CS3 to make a video. I then tried to export this to Encore but that didn’t work at all. The “Export to encore” is greyed out for some reason.

I then tried to export the footage to a movie (uncompressed avi) and imported this into Encore.

I made all the chapters and burned the dvd.

I watched it on my Panasonic Plasma and the video was full of interlaced-motionblur-flickering-crap!

I then tried to export the footage from Premiere again but this time checked the box “deinterlace footage”.

When I try to import this into Encore it just gives me an error message “The software used to encode this media is not available on this system bla bla bla…”

I really need help with this before I loose it 🙂

    Premiere Pro CS3
Adobe Encore CS3 (now updated to Encore CS4)

Video Footage: Imported from an old VHS-Cassette throuth Canopus ADVC55.

Why not just export to MPEG2 DVD from Premiere? That way you can import a file into Encore that doesn’t need any encoding. Just make sure your bitrate is set appropriately so the video fits on a disc. You can use a bitrate calculator to check that.
