Encore doesn’t play 5.1 audio .
Hi, yesterday I purchased the surcode 5.1 codec for Premiere 1.5. In premiere it works perfectly. In Premiere went to export/adobe media encoder/. A transcode settings box appears,
Format: mpeg2 dvd
Preset: High quality, VBR transcoding of DV content (max bit rate = 9), SurCode for Dolby Digital 5.1
Video Summary: MainConcept Mpeg Video
Audio summary: Audio format Dolby
codec Surcode for dolby digital
audio coding mode 3/2 (for the five speakers)
Hit ok and it outputs the video.When I bring it into Encore the acs file plays in stereo, not in surround.
I’ve looked in the manual,helpfiles, for both Encore and surcode and haven’t figured out what I’m doing wrong. Any help will be appreciated. It bums you out to pay $300 for something you can’t get to work.

You’re not doing anything wrong. Encore does not play back 5.1 audio. But it does pass through 5.1 audio to the burned DVD.
