Encore CS5 Hangs on Unneeded Transcode During Build to DVD Disc
Hi
I’m a bit stuck and hope for some help.
I have a NTSC DVD project, 4.1 GB in size, which has previously built to DVD Disc, and I have just tweaked a couple of the menu buttons, tried to build to disk again, and the process hangs at “Transcoding…”
Now, this transcoding phase isn’t even needed. All the assets have already been transcoded and the project tab shows that this is the case and they will not be transcoded.
I have saved a new project file, cleared out my cache and media cache, and even moved them to a different drive to make sure they were created again in empty folders.
I’m up against a deadline and my PAL project worked perfectly first time. So I’m at a loss at what to try next.

Update
If I remove my subtitles (I have four tracks of subtitles) this problem goes away and the disc builds.
Note that I had these subtitles in the project previously and it built fine with them
I’d really appreciate some help with this.
