  Encore Buttons – Highlights never in the same place

  As with many, I am struggling with highlight button alignment. When I review my project in Encore CS5, all is well. But when I generate a DVD, all goes mad. The subsequent DVD viewed on VLC PC moves some highlights to the right. On a mac in DVD player, the highlights move vertically and change colour. On old DVDs players, the button highlights move to the right and on a new Sony DVD player with HDMI, the buttons are off set to the left.
  So I deduce that the player interprets the information and places where it sees fit. So I am wondering what the rules are for DVDs. Where can I get information on the do and don’t for making DVDs that work everywhere?
