encore 1.5 problem
i burned a short to dvd using encore 1.5 using the automatic transcode settings. it plays on mine and a bunch of other dvd players just fine in 16×9 mode 🙂
however on some dvd players, (one of them 1 year old) it shows up as 4×3 letter box 🙁 anyone know why this is or how one fixes this?

What’s to fix? Sounds like a player setting, to me.

he said he had his dvd player set to 16×9 and it was showing up as letter box. when he changed it to pan and scan mode, then it showed up in 16×9. thoughts?

If the asset is encoded to 16:9, it should display 16:9 on a 16:9 monitor. If the monitor is 4:3, it will be letterboxed. Which is your client using?

he’s using a sony dvd player. i will get the specs from him.

I meant is your client viewing on a 16:9 native or 4:3 native monitor?
