I am trying to encode my uncompressed .mov footage to a H264 quicktime in Adobe encoder but that seems impossible because when I choose the quicktime format there many presets but no H264. On the other hand if I choose the h264 format in the beginning the file gets compressed to a mp4 H264.

So how is it possible to compress my original footage to a “quicktime H264” and not an “mp4 h264” ?

I believe the h.264 codec is only MP4 – you can’t have the h.264 codec in the .mov wrapper …. maybe a smarter person than me can correct this information if wrong!
