    hi all

i need to export a project – best quality possible, it’s for a festival projection. i’m running FCP6. compressor is busted. is my best bet to export the project using quicktime conversion H.264? will the quality difference be significant between that and what compressor would have given me?

    thanks

From where you will play your movie? And which is the original format?

    Mac OX 10.5.2-FC 6.02-QT 7.4.1
    G5 2x2Gh 4GbRAM-BlackMagic Extreme
    PMBP 17″Core2Duo 4GbRAM-AJA ioHD
    JVC DTV-17″
    SONY EX-1 . SONY PD170
..and always a big mess on top of the table.

the movie will be projected from a DVD. specifics beyond that, I’m not sure.

the original format is NTSC, 16:9 (though the project is letter-boxed within a 4:3 sequence), FCP6. Is there more relevant details i don’t know to offer?

    thanks

If you want to make a SD DVD you need to make MPG2 files. H264 are only supported for HD.
