  • Encoding for broadcast with embedded closed captions

I edit a program for a national broadcaster, and normally I deliver an XDCAM HD422 50mbps QuickTime with a .scc sidecar file. They are now asking for the captions to be embedded, however, embedding it in the QuickTime is not recognized by their Omneon spectrums. They are asking for me to place the embedded caption on the A/53 MPEG 2 user data space of the XDCAM HD422 file and to set the muxing mode to DTVCC Transport.
I have looked both in AME and even Compressor and I cannot figure out how to do this. I am just a simple editor. Does anyone have experience with this?
    Thanks so much!

    Chris
