If any DVDSP users could help me out with this one I’d really appreciate it. I’m getting no responses in the Apple forum. I get an error when I try to encode/burn my video. it just says:

Error while encoding file:/Users/matt/Desktop/indian party video 2 (first part)

The problem is with the video asset but I don’t know what it could be. The video won’t even encode when I turn on background encoding. Instead of getting a green light next to it in the assets window I get this: “E:” with an empty loading bar next to it.

The estimated encoded size for the whole DVD is only 2 GB
Heres how I have the encoding set up:

    Video standard: NTSC
    Aspect Ratio: 4:3
    Feild order: Auto
    Encode mode: Two pass VBR
    Bit Rate: 5.5
    Max Bit rate: 7.2
    Motion estimation: Best

Anyone know what could be stopping it from encoding?

Those errors really suck. Whenever I’ve run into that, I’ve pretty much just re-encoded the video. If you have lot of navigation and stuff in there, you could re-encode it with the same exact name and place it in the same spot and then reopen DSP. That might work. What type of video file was it? Mov?
