  • Encoding an H.264 that’s 2765×768

Attempting to encode an H.264 (preferably in a MOV container) that’s 2765×768. I’m having difficulty getting an encoder to accept the res without it either crashing the app or defaulting to a res that’s divisible by 16.

I’d prefer to encode with Main Concept or x264 encoder. I’ve tried FCP, Compressor, Squeeze, DV Kitchen and MPEG StreamClip.

    Any ideas or suggestions appreciated.

Thanks Sathish. I tried using FFMpegX with no luck. I need to learn to use the command line version.

I didn’t realize that After Effects is now licensing the Main Concept H.264 encoder, so I was able to encode to it straight from AE, but in an MP4 container. It only adjusted the resolution by one pixel.

Hopefully I’ll hear back from the venue today that that resolution and MP4 container work.
