Hello, I am new to flash, actually I don’t use it but since it is a part of my cs3 suite I would like to use the stand alone encoder to convert videos to flv.

I imported a about a 1.4gb worth of video to convert and I chose the medium setting (400kbs) and started the conversion. The problem is that it is saying it will take 2hours to encode and is steadily rising.

I often use compressor that comes with final cut studio to do all my encoding but it does not have a flv encode setting. In compressor you can optimize it to use any number of processing cores available in the computer, is this possible with flash video encoder? Is it by default only using 1 core which is why it is taking so long?

Btw, it is a quad core
