Encode Apple ProRes 422 or 4444 on a Windows machine?
Hi there
I submit stock footage to Getty and currently only use the JPEG solution for rendering files.
Getty ideally take the ProRes solution but can you actually render these files on a Windows machine?
They have stated that the Miraizon CODEC is not accepted. No idea why but apparently it is so.
Earlier this afternoon I tried the Cinemartin software but that seemed to just go in a loop and I got nowhere.
Surely there is a solution other than just going to a MAC?
Appreciate any help on this.

Here’s the list of authorized Apple ProRes implementations, including several (expensive) software solutions for Windows:
https://support.apple.com/en-am/HT200321ffmpeg and ffmpeg-based products can encode ProRes, but Apple warns that unauthorized implementations such as this “may lead to decoding errors, performance degradation, incompatibility, and instability.”
If you specifically require genuine Apple ProRes for delivery, I think the cheapest solution is the $500 Apple ProRes Dongle [link].

I thought as much. There seems to be no viable solution on this for Windows users.
