Encode 16:9 Quicktime

November 13, 2005 at 5:59 pmI’m trying to export a sequence from FCP 4.5 to a Quicktime file. The problem I’m having is that I want to preserve the 16:9 aspect ratio. I’ve tried encoding using Quicktime Conversion which didn’t work. I then tried encoding using the Quicktime Movie option and have tried DV NTSC and DV NTSC Anamorphic but both result in Quicktime playing the video in a “squeezed” ratio.
How does one create a Quicktime Movie out of FCP 4.5 and retain the 16:9 ratio? Do I have to set the ratio manually? If so, what is the resolution for that?
Thanks!
