August 25, 2011 at 1:40 pmHey Eric,
If your working with interlaced material you would want to turn this on.
It enables field processing on the footage which is especially important if you are doing any resizing or rotation of your image.
Resolve normally works frame based which is best for progressive material.
I hope this helps!

If you look on the config page you’ll also see a setting is for Enable Video Field Processing this enables resolve to work in fields internally.
The Enable Video Field Rendering setting on the render page is to tell the compression codec whether the material is interlaced or not and set the metadata in the header of the clip. You will this option grey out for codecs which don’t support compression like DPX or tiff.
Hope this helps!

September 13, 2011 at 10:02 amHi Dan,
This still gives me interlaced lines when the objects are moving etc. Any idea how to get rid of this. On the monitor it looks good, but not on the computer screen.
