I have seen similar threads, but none address my issue which is: I am using an Apogee USB MiC. running PremierPro CC2015 on El Cap on a Mac Pro 2013. PP sees the mic, that is, it shows up in the Audio Hardware in PP, and if I right click on an audio track in my timeline and select “Voice over Recording Settings” I can see the meter responding to the MiC. However in the Audio Track Mixer the ‘R’ will not turn red to allow me to record. I am pulling my hair out over why this simple action seems to not be possible. Is my Apgogee MiC not compatible, even though PP CC 2015 sees it in the hardware and I can see the meter responding? I have tried this in several timelines and cannot get the ‘R’ to turn red, this enabling recording to PP. Any one have any ideas? Please! (PS I have used this same mic in my old FCP7 and had no issues so I know the mic works.)
