emitter inspiration
I know the Q3/Q4 emitters are long overdue, but I’ve been working on them quite a lot recently. One good thing that came out of it is that I’ve been wanting to do a couple of emitters inspired by the FLCL anime series for years, and have finally gotten around to them! 🙂
If you watch the first two minutes of this video you’ll see both effects that I wanted to create:
https://youtu.be/lhUyc6TscloThe first effect is the “motion blur” while the camera is panning arround, simulating a fast pan with some blurred pastel lines. I’ve always liked that look!
The second is the sunlight sparkling on the water (around the 1:30 mark). It’s quite complex, but so beautiful. I’m happy to say that it only took me two tries to get something that’s quite close and very nice.
