  • Embedding an AES signal in the SDI using Multibridge Extreme

I just can’t get the AES embedded. I’ve used two different 25pin AES breakout cable (including a brand new one custom made to the Multibridge specs) I have no problems with the SDI with embedded audio, including when passing through the Multibridge. I’ve checking everything on the deck side, it is sending the signal and it is passing through the cables.

The Multibridge analog audio out (which I use for monitoring only) still passes the (original) SDI embedded audio.

When I try to capture setting the AES inputs to embed into the SDI signal I just get no audio signal (not even the original embedded).

Anything else I can try? Am I missing a setting somewhere?

Using: Decklink HD Pro PCIe and Multibridge Extreme in a Quad G5 running FCP 5.1.2. Multibridge and Decklink software is up-to-date.
