    Hi,

I’m working on a FCP6 system on a new 8 core Macpro with BMD HD Extreme card.

I cannot get embedded SDI audio into FCP. When in log and capture mode I can hear the audio and see pictures going into the FCP but the audio meters are not moving at all. I can get audio into the BMD deckcontrol program – but it seems to be dropping frames and causing the sync to go out on the captured clip.

I’m not sure why this is happening – i’m using 3 x 750GB drives Raid ) inside the mac but cannot seem to get audio into it – Pictures are fine!

    Cheers,

    Paul

You might get a quicker response on the Decklink board:

You might have to go into your BM Sys Prefs and change the audio to embedded instead of AES or Analog.

    Hi,

Thanks for this – but i’ve established that decklink is getting audio into my system so I thought best to ask on the FCP forum because it’s when I get to FCP that I’m getting the issue. I’ve always had the decklink preferences set to SDI audio input – that’s how i’ve been getting audio into the BMD deckcontrol program.

Okay. Then I will try and help even though it’s my suspicion that something is setup wrong with your BM hardware.

First, have you selected the appropriate Blackmagic easy setup before capturing and before opening the log and capture window? WHen you open the log and capture window and click the clip settings tab, are both the audio and video areas checked? Are any of the audio track selection icons dimmed?
