I used to do this in old versions of illustrator: You can have type follow the perimeter of a circle,
but now I want the type to follow the path inside the circle. In the old days, you simply used the arrow
tool and pulled the type. It doesn’t work that way anymore.
    Help appreciated!

I never realize they had changed that until I read you post and tried it myself. Huh? Why’d they do that? Anyway if you do to the TYPE pulldown menu and select Type on a path/Type on a path options. Check the FLIP box and that does the trick.
