  • Email address advice?

Wondering if anyone has any opinions on/insight into how to type out your email address on one’s website, to avoid spam? I’ve seen a lot of sites do “NameATemail.com” instead of “Na**@***il.com” so that whatever those things are that phish for email addresses won’t get yours and fill your inbox with spam — does it actually work? Worth doing?

    Thanks!

    hello…

[April Hill] “does it actually work? Worth doing?”

yes and yes with the caveat that if you have addresses like info@, webmaster@, sales@, etc. etc. then spammers will just assume those and spam them anyway. but obfuscating emails in sites is a good thing to do. you can do it with javascript or other ways – here’s a great article on it:

    hope that helps!
