    and for that matter grouping key frames together and moving them simultaneously.

    For FCP, you use Copy and Paste Attributes. It doesn’t work like After Effects or even Motion. It’s a longstanding feature request, so you know.

    You can slide keyframes down the clip with Clip Keyframes. Just drag between any keyframe on the Filters or Motion bar and the rest will slide down.

    Seems like an easy piece of code to write.

    What I was looking for was the ability to slide two keyframes together
    so that the duration stays the same. Like AE.

    sounds like I am out of luck.

    You’ve hit upon a flaw in FCP, I think. I’ve always wondered if there was a more efficient way to move the keyframes in the Motion tab. I think this is why I’ve gravitated to Motion for some of the tricky stuff, because I find it easier (at least visually) to make adjustment like what you’re describing.

    It does seem like an easy piece of code to write. Maybe you could go on the support.apple.com site and suggest it…! 🙂
