Elvis disintegrate into smoke
in the new demo reel video you see elvis getting into smoke and then from smoke to human again
what particle did you used there
i already did your disintegrate tutorial and it worked great the smoke effect is much cooler can you explain a bit about it?

Doesn’t that clip in the demo reel explain enough? It shows the original footage, the keyed footage, the animated particle shapes used, the disintegrated particles alone, then the whole thing put together. If you’ve already been through the disintegrating people tutorial, then it’s just a matter of using the animated particle shapes.
Oh, and there’s also the “reverse”, where the particles form the person. That was done by reversing the order of the frames in a video editing app.

That emitter is in the July 2006 library (the most recent one), called Smokey Dissolve Get Color.
It’s really no different than the other disintegrate tutorial. The main differences are the use of Forces and the animated particle shape.
