Elementary Question
What does it mean when there are brackets around the layer name in a composition? i.e. [white solid]
they are there sometime and not others.

If you toggle the Layer Name/Source Name found in the column heading in the Timeline panel, you’ll toggle between the source name and the name you have given that layer. If you haven’t named the layer, it will just toggle the brackets on and off…
