    When do I render using fields?

    I’m compositing 3d animated objects onto video layers in After Effects. (project is destined for PAL TV)
    Do I render my 3d out as fields, as well as the AE composition?

    Yepp. Use fields. Finding out which field order is correct is up to you, though. In theory it should be upper/odd field first for a PAL project, but some 3D programs have switched around settings.
