Elementary from aescripts for Element 3D shadows and reflections
Posted by Tom Daigon on November 23, 2012 at 8:11 pmFor folks using Element 3D with AE…you might want to check out Elementary at aescripts. Its a great way to create shadows/reflections.
Here is my first exploration of its use with Element, Particular and Blender model.

November 23, 2012 at 11:00 pmNice work with the reflections Tom. And a big thanks for the link Ted, that Superman logo was way cool.

November 24, 2012 at 12:05 amThanks John. Even given the limitations, its so darn cool to be able to work with 3D models in AE in real time without have to resort to the import-export shuffle with C4D or Blender.

November 24, 2012 at 3:02 pmThanks for posting this Tom.
Don’t forget Elementary works with most 3D plugins: Trapcode, Mettle, BorisFX, Zaxwerks and some AE effects such as Particle World or the 3D CC plugins. Since I haven’t used all of those plugins enough to be comfortable with them I’d really appreciate some feedback from experienced users to know what works and what doesn’t.
And don’t forget to check out the Elementary channel on Vimeo: https://vimeo.com/channels/407911 -
