silly question here: I am making PR piece that is supposed to be “classy” i’ve made the video B&W. It’s talking heads speaking about how good the company is.

I am asking for suggestions for conservative, simple, elegant transitions. I’ve already used a wind blur. Flashes are out. Dissolves don’t work in this piece.

Ideas? Preferably without me having to buy and plug-ins. Maybe something that’s in FCP that I just haven’t thought of.

    Thanks
    David

Core Melt, FX Factory Pro, CGM, Eureka, Joe’s Filters, Nattress, CHV

You’re gonna have to dish out the dough! All the above are worth the money and then some.

There is nothing more elegant than a cut. Perhaps a simple dissolve. The simple stuff. Anything else draws attention to itself.

    Im with shane too..
Cut or slow dissolve, too many times I’ve seen a great video ruined by stupid or ridiculous transitions. The worst was in Cyprus where the editor had created a 20 minute direct response long form tv advert and bless him he had used every transition in his NLE. we were laughing our heads off whilst cringing.

    cut or slow dissolve defiantly..
