effects using circles instead of squares
Hi there! I’m wondering if you could advise me on how to do a Grid Wipe-type effect but using circles instead of squares?

You could create a precomp with a circle in the top left corner. Then use the repeater to fill the screen to your liking. Start your scale on your shape layer at 0 and bring it up until it fills the entire screen. Then use that precomp as a track matte. You could do all kinds of alterations with the shape layer modifiers for some good fun, but that would be a basic way to accomplish it.
