    Hello–

I have a couple of questions. Your help would be greatly appreciated!

    1. I’m trying to rotate clips slightly to fix shots that were shot slanted, and then apply widescreen to them. What keeps happening is the widescreen is applied rotated as well. Because rotation is affected by the Motion parameters and isn’t a filter, I can’t simply change the order of filters. Is there a way to do this so that the widescreen looks fine?

    2. I am trying to crop several images and overlap them on the screen. I can’t seem to control which clip will overlap which. Is there a way to control that?

    Thanks,

    Lonnie Goodwin

Are you talking about a widescreen filter? If so one solution could be to remove the filter from the clip in question and rotate as you wish, then apply two black slugs above the clip and position and size each one accordingly, so that it blocks the same amount of the images and matches the clips on the rest of the timeline.

    1) Filters are always rendered before the Motion Tab parameters. Nest your rotated clip and apply filter to nest

    2) The order of your layers is the order of your tracks. Upper track = upper picture.

These are pretty basic questions. Maybe a bit of manual reading (or the excellent Peachpit books) is warranted.

    hope this helps,

    Patrice
