Effects position point that counters layer’s scaling
Hey there-
I am working on a project where I have an effect on a layer that is scaling down. The problem is that the effect position point (i.e., it’s motion path) is also being effected.
I am working with the new AE puppet tool, and so this is not one of those cases where either the effect or animation can be pre-composed. The effect and the scaling must be on the same layer or things go wonky.
So I’m hoping it’s possible to counter the scaling of the layer with an expression that tells the effect point’s path not to scale down as well.

Hmmm…. I don’t think that’s right. Try this:
(value – anchorPoint)*100/scale[0] + anchorPoint
