I recently added some plugins to my FCP 4 HD by dropping them into my plugins folder. everything was fine till i shut it down and now all i get on my effects menu is Quicktime effects! everything else has disappeared despite the fact i can see them in my plugins folder.
    Help!!!!
someone previously mentioned plugins availability on the effects menu but i can’t see that tab. where is it?

I used to spend my time wondering, now it’s all used up rendering.

You have to take that batch of filters out of the Plugins folder.
Then put then back, one by one, testing which one is causing the problem (that one you can kill him).
    Nothing too serious.

    Mac OX 10.5.2-FC 6.02-QT 7.4.1
    G5 2x2Gh 4GbRAM-BlackMagic Extreme
    PMBP 17″Core2Duo 4GbRAM-AJA ioHD
    JVC DTV-17″
    SONY EX-1 . SONY PD170
..and always a big mess on top of the table.

An obvious question, but are those filters designed to run with FCP 4? That’s a very old version of the software and anything that has come out in the past year or so would most likely not run properly on that old of software.
