I have a logo that has a ramp filter on it with the same logo duplicated and laid out as a reflection underneath it. The reflection has a transision wipe on it to make it look like it fades out naturally. My problem is that when I move the camera around the logo, the ramp gradient and the wipe change according to where I go. I tried pre-composing the text but it doesnt help. It is set-up as a 3-D layer, but every time I change the angle of the camera, the gradient and the wipe change accordingly. I want to do a zoom out on the word, starting close and pulling back to reveal the whole title, how can I keep the effects the way that I set them up while moving the camera? Please help.

Pre-compose the reflection with the wipe.

I have already tried that. The gradient of the top layer and the wipe of the bottom layer still change when moved around the canvas in the original comp.

Did you follow Andrew Kramer’s tut on this or try your own way? If you do it his way you shouldn’t have this problem.

I went through the tutorial and while it helped a lot, it did not solve the problem. When the camera is turned or moved at all, the gradient changes. It seems that the actual ramp stays the same and the text moves independantly. How do I lock the gradient to the text so that it looks the same no matter what angle I view it from? Again, I have followed the steps in the tutorial, and have precomposed the layer. Please help.
