Education version?
I’m involved in a mentoring program for video production at a local school. The school is apparently not a part of, or has chosen not to participate in, the Adobe or Apple discounted software education offer and the student/family is solely responsible for providing the equipment/software and recruiting the volunteer mentors.
I was wondering if anyone knew if Media 100 had an ‘education discount’ or something like that?
The student has tried a number of free or extremely cheap editing systems and they’re all pretty bad. The workflow stinks, file management is awful… It has been terribly frustrating trying to help a kid when the system being used is amateur at best.
I acknowledge that Media 100 is not a mainstream NLE and that using Premiere or FCPX might provide more long-term benefit. However, M100 is very easy to train on and has the core set of features that any other editor has.
