    EDL with CDL information – Bringing in Clips with CDL information workflow

    Hey there.

    I’m running on Avid 2018.3.0 and have been supplied a number of EDLs that also list the CDL values for each clip in the sequence. I’m trying to import the EDLs so that the CDL values come through, but I don’t see how I can get it to work.

    If you don’t know on Avid, but know on Resolve, I would find that useful too.

    Any insight at all would be appreciated.

    Media Composer does not support CDL as part of EDL import, only export. CDL values can come in via an ALE in a dailies process but not as an EDL. Maybe, and I mean maybe, importing EDL into Resolve and exporting an AAF might work, but I wouldn’t bet on it. Worth a try though.
