EDL Manager keeps crashing
My EDL manager keeps crashing whether I try opening it from within Avid or on it’s own. I keep getting a “bus error” Main Thread at address 0x0. I had this happen on another system but I don’t remember how I fixed it. I know I have to run the EDL uninstaller first but then what? I purchased MC 5 as a download and don’t have any disks to re-install. The only thing I have is the installer for MC 5.0.3 update and I don’t see an EDL installer in the dmg. Will I need to uninstall MC 5 completely and then re-install? Thanks for any help.

I’m getting the same thing – also on the Filmscribe software plus when I use the meta publisher to convert an AVID AAF file to XML – I get a “Could not load the library AAFFilterJNl.dll” error message.

I figured out my issue. When you 5.0.3 and get to installation type, click on the customize button and twirl down the Install All Products disclosure triangle. Then check Helper Applications and it will install the new EDL manager for 5.0.3.
But do a complete uninstall first.
