Using EDL Manager 11.1 with Xpress Pro 4.5 on PC. When I try and make an edl of the current sequence in the avid, EDL Manger tells me that it does not support compressed audio files. However there are no audio files whatsoever in the sequence. How can I export this EDL. Is there another way to make an edl from this set up besides EDL manager? Short of a pencil and a pad of paper?

Can you post the exact wording of the error?

Maybe I can find something for you, I’m not sure though.

Thanks Matt. I am away from my notes with the exact wording. When I get home tonight I will post the error.

Whenever an issue arises with Get Current Sequence from EDL Manager, I tend to use the “manual” way, which is:
    – In MC, save the bin containing the current version of the sequence
    – go to EDL Manager
    – In EDL Manager, choose “Open”, and manually navigate to the location of the bin with the sequence you need the EDL of.

Get Current Sequence seems to require MC to create an AAF which then is pulled in by EDL Manager. This does not always work correctly. The “classic” Open Bin method works better, in my experience.

Thanks Job I will give that a shot.

OK so it looks from my notes that one error I got was “compressed_audio_formats_not_supported” and then I got another one “Domain_Copyout_Failed” However after reading Job’s response maybe I should give the Classic approach a try. Thanks Gents!

Job’s suggestion was the only one I could find that has resolved this issue in the past.
