    Hey folks,

Having a ‘tear my hair out’ day so far – how’s yours?

I’m trying to export an EDL of an edit done on Xpress 4.6 so I can online it on an FCP suite. The problem is, I can’t get an accurate EDL to export. Each time I try, I get 616 errors, all saying ‘Invalid Timecode for Source’ – and the TC then resets to 00:00:00:00 for each of the cuts. Which makes it useless.

When the boss gets in, I’m gonna try to hit him up for

I guess you have mixdowns etc which have no rrel numbers/real tc ref?

Unfortunately, no – all info is there. No mixdowns – all have reel and TC information.

It needs to be pointed out that out of the entire sequence, not one clip gets properly exported to the EDL – they’re all 00:00:00:00 starting points. This happens on all the Avid’s in the building – Composers and DVXpress systems alike.

It’s ok, I can get around this by exporting OMFs, but it’s just worrying the EDL manager seems to be have a management crisis!
